1. This might be controversial, but I have genuinely learned so much about myself from clubbing.

2. Yes, me, the grandma human.

3. Who loves early nights, who loves early mornings, who's not a big drinker.

4. And for a long time, I convinced myself that someone like me just wasn't a clubbing person.

5. But halfway through university, I started becoming more open-minded to clubbing with the right friends.

6. I studied abroad in Buenos Aires, where the culture is more night-focused.

7. Like guys, clubs opened at 2am, and I decided to embrace it.

8. I realised that going out doesn't need to be about drinking or losing yourself.

9. Like, I could make going out what I wanted it to be.

10. Through clubbing, I learned so much about feeling liberated, feeling confident in my own body,

11. cultivating safety and trust with others, learning my own boundaries, like when I want to go home.

12. And there's honestly something so fun about the right music playing,

13. you're looking amazing, you're making eye contact with your friends,

14. and oh, just the whole world slips away for a second.

15. You can be a grandma human and be the hottest person in the club.
